It started with a 41 year old kitchen and deck in the Carmel neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. Both needed to be transformed to reflect the homeowner’s aesthetic and lifestyle while optimizing function. During our design and build process for this custom kitchen remodel, we addressed the functionality, flow and style of the space. We removed a peninsula that was a “traffic jam” and laid out the space to include an island perfect for working or gathering. A little used desk area was converted into usable counter space with ample storage. 

The homeowner’s favorite piece provided inspiration for this Charlotte kitchen renovation. Cabinetry, countertops and fixtures were selected to complement the art. 

We happily brought to life the homeowner’s vision for a unique backsplash see pictures below. Creating custom spaces that bring joy to owners and are unique to their needs is what the PKB team enjoys most. The deck and outdoor living space were rebuilt to ensure structural soundness. We used Trex and Timbertech composite materials as they are low maintenance, weather resistant and last for years.
